STRANGE ENDING: LOST NODE

You use the false exit without fixing a destination. The corridor folds
around the sound of a relay, and you emerge inside another abandoned
surface node.

Everything is decades old. Dust covers the desk. A receiver is still
warm.

Its display reads:

    608 LOST
    NEW NODE ACTIVE

There is no immediate way back. Somewhere beyond the walls, something is
trying to identify the station.
