THE SHIELD STATUS

The Koshkonong shield can be restored to 100 percent with a sequence of
manual adjustments. The procedure is tempting because the numbers stop
falling when you begin.

The status screen changes:

    KOSHKONONG SHIELD: 100%
    CONTAINMENT: NOMINAL
    NODE SYNCHRONIZATION: 6 / 7

The voice disappears. The room becomes quiet enough to hear your own
heartbeat.

Then a secondary screen wakes:
