Waiting for UPS to drop of my security camera today. It is amazing what I was able to buy for under $100. The services that the camera provides internally is the same services that one of my original DOT COM BOMB jobs was developing a server that did the same thing with connected webcams. The hardware was a couple thousand wholesale and the monthly cost was also hundreds of dollars. We were targeting putting these things in bars, niteclubs, day car centres, dog kennels, etc. Now for under $100 you can see and control a camera over the internet and it doesn't have any sort of maintenance cost, just an internet connection and done. What a difference 15 years makes.
