The model train show was in town last weekend. I gotta say, a lot of clubs models are looked really rough. Also the number of filler and unfinished modules was sad. Especially as a Union Pacific fan, I would have loved to see lots of desert or plains. It is the perfect place for it. If you have never been to the model train show, you should check it out once. BUT, the good news is that I got super inspired to finally make some movements on building my own model railroad now that I am an old man and it is the old man hobby. Thanks to Katie Stenz I have decided to model the Wisconsin Central Railroad line between Junction City, WI and Milladore, WI. A straight scenic six miles of central Wisconsin heaven to be modeled in HO scale at my new desk when I get it. The module idea is perfect and I have seen the power of Foam core board and Hot glue. Pictures coming soon. And thanks to Betsy Francoeur I already picked up a Milhaus Beer and Point Beer boxcars for the display. Girls love trains.
