Either way, as a Wisconsin voter, I have some burning questions, and I think the people of this great state deserve some answers. 1. LET'S TALK ABOUT THOSE TAXPAYER-FUNDED VACATIONS --------------------------------------------------- You got caught using tax dollars to fund personal trips to New York. You only paid it back after the media found out. If someone in the private sector did this, they'd be fired--so why do you still have a job? [1] 2. WALL STREET TAMMY? --------------------- You rail against the rich while conveniently being rich yourself, co-owning a $1.3 million condo in D.C. with your Wall Street insider partner. You talk about fighting for the little guy, but are you really fighting, or just cashing in while pretending to care? [2] 3. THE TOMAH VA SCANDAL ----------------------- Back in 2014, your office had a report about veterans being overprescribed opioids at the Tomah VA for months and did nothing--until a veteran literally died. You only acted once it became a public scandal. Why did a veteran have to die before you did your job? [3] 4. GENDER-AFFIRMING CARE FOR MINORS ----------------------------------- You're one of the most vocal Senate advocates for gender-affirming procedures for minors. Do you genuinely believe teenagers should be making life-altering medical decisions when they aren't even trusted to vote, drink, or rent a car? [4] 5. EXTREME ABORTION STANCE -------------------------- You have pushed for abortion access up to the moment of birth, a position that most Americans don't support. When people talk about common-sense regulations, why is your stance "no limits at all, ever"? [5] 6. PLAYING FAST AND LOOSE WITH THE TRUTH ---------------------------------------- In recent debates, you've been caught twisting facts about your opponent. If you were confident in your record, wouldn't you tell the truth instead of misleading voters? [6] 7. CAMPAIGN HYPOCRISY --------------------- You attack your opponent for being wealthy, but you don't disclose your own financial interests. Are we supposed to pretend you're still the "working-class hero" from Madison when you're living the D.C. elite lifestyle? [2] 8. FARMERS ARE TURNING AGAINST YOU ---------------------------------- The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation endorsed you, but Wisconsin farmers overwhelmingly support your opponent. If the people who actually work the land don't want you, why should the rest of Wisconsin? [7] 9. A PATTERN OF UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR ---------------------------------- Your office has been hit with an ethics complaint over your use of taxpayer dollars for personal travel. How many scandals does it take before voters say, "Enough is enough"? [1] 10. DO YOU EVEN LIVE IN WISCONSIN? ---------------------------------- People in Wisconsin say you're rarely here. Are you really representing Wisconsin, or are we just your mailing address for re-election purposes? FINAL THOUGHTS -------------- Senator Baldwin, you've been in Washington for decades, and this is your record? We hear a lot about your progressive values, your dedication, your fighting spirit--but when it comes to actual results, it seems like you're mostly fighting to protect your own interests. Wisconsin deserves a fighter for the people, not another career politician with a Wall Street condo and a taxpayer-funded travel budget.
