YESTERDAY'S SURVIVING CHOICE: SNEAK
-----------------------------------

I hugged the torn seats and inched past while the Screaming Passenger was
lost in their banshee wailing. Every jolt of the train threatened to send me
stumbling into their clutches, but by staying quiet and low I reached the
exit door. My nerves were shot, but I survived to see another nightmare.

THE ROADS NOT TAKEN
-------------------

Fight -- A lurch would have knocked me down, and the passenger would
have snapped free of the restraints.

Improvise -- A barricade or distraction made from loose wreckage would
have collapsed, pinning me beneath the flailing passenger.

Persuade -- Speaking would have intensified the passenger's panic and
drawn lurking zombies to the struggle.

Loot -- Searching the broken seats and glass would have made noise
               and left my back exposed.

INTO THE FLAMES
---------------

Slamming the door behind me, I stagger into the next car, coughing as thick
smoke floods my lungs. Orange flickers dance on the walls. Flames lick the
edges of torn seats, while overhead lights gutter out and leave only embers
for illumination.

Parts of the floor look ready to collapse. The heat is stifling and every
breath tastes like ash. Twisted metal beams block half the aisle, and a
shattered fire extinguisher lies useless on the ground, emptied long ago. I
cannot linger, but the way forward is a tangle of flame and debris. One
misstep, and I am barbecue.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
------------------

Fight -- Hack or blast through flaming debris and any lurking threat.

Sneak -- Slip around the edges, avoiding fire and undead in the smoke.

Improvise -- Use wreckage or leftover material to clear a safe path or
               extinguish the smaller fires.

Persuade -- Call for survivors or calm anyone panicking in the car.

Loot -- Risk the heat to search for tools, water, or anything capable
               of dousing the flames.

The temperature climbs by the second. Tomorrow's installment will reveal
which option saves me from a fiery end.
