Penny went missing during the effort to clear the autorack car, but has
resurfaced, battered and breathing. Her chosen tactic is Persuade.

YESTERDAY'S CLOSE CALL
----------------------

Pushing deeper without Penny's guidance got dicey. One survivor was bitten
in a scuffle beneath a convertible, panic nearly overtook the group, and
morale collapsed. I spent half the night searching without luck. At dawn,
Penny appeared with a crowbar in hand and wild eyes.

"Barnabas, we have to talk them down," she said through chattering teeth.
She had hidden in a locked SUV after a surge of zombies cornered her. From
there she overheard terrified survivors plotting risky moves and realized
that we needed a calmer approach, fast.

PENNY'S CHOICE: PERSUADE
------------------------

We gathered near a chain barricade in the autorack's middle. Penny's plan was
to reassure survivors eager to rush the remaining zombies, organize at least
ten people into pairs for a synchronized push, and prevent random action and
friendly fire in the cramped car.

Standing on a rusted SUV, Penny urged everyone into a simple formation. Some
wanted a smaller, quieter team, but she reminded them how many stragglers had
nearly died the night before. Suspicion and exhaustion made persuasion hard,
yet the sight of Penny alive gave people hope.

By midday we advanced in a coordinated wave, setting lookouts along each row
of cars. Gunshots rang out when a cluster of undead was pinned, but nobody
else was bitten. We cleared enough territory to establish a real foothold.
One survivor twisted an ankle and another took a scratch; compared with the
earlier fiasco, we called it a win.

THE ROADS NOT TAKEN
-------------------

Fight -- A full brawl in tight quarters risked ricochets and chaos.

Sneak -- A small team might manage quiet kills, but one frightened
novice could trigger a chain reaction.

Improvise -- Barricades and funnels might help, but require patience,
skill, and trust the group did not have.

Loot -- The parked cars might hold supplies, or more hidden zombies.

NEW DISCOVERY
-------------

After the sweep, we found a locked metal trunk jammed into a pickup bed. Its
fading logo reads "EmergenTek Solutions." It may contain essential gear, but
we will need tools -- or Penny's crowbar -- to pry it loose.

Penny rests against a convertible, still pale from her ordeal. I balance my
axe on my shoulder and scan the gloom. A half-buried note found in a duffel
bag reads:

Car 14 -- Danger inside. They can't die.

It might describe the next car, or something else entirely.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
------------------

Fight -- Force the trunk and push onward into Car 14.

Sneak -- Scout Car 14 and the trunk without drawing a crowd.

Improvise -- Barricade the autorack exit before opening anything.

Persuade -- Ask survivors what they know and coordinate the approach.

Loot -- Pry open the EmergenTek trunk and search for gear or clues.

Penny is back, the autorack is nearly secure, and the note hints at something
unspeakable ahead. Tomorrow's tactic will determine whether our momentum
holds while we brace for Car 14.
