GAME/BLOG INTRODUCTION
----------------------
Welcome back, resilient survivors, to another day aboard Tracks of Terror:
The Last Train to Save Your Butt. I'm Barnabas, reporting that after
countless battles--and a near meltdown with EmergenTek's "unkillable"
subject--our group is finally stepping away from the ice-cold horrors of Car
14.
R.C. and Penny both decided to Persuade everyone to unify, urging calm and
cooperation so we could move on without leaving stragglers. Thanks to their
level-headed rallying, we're free of that frigid lab, but we're also trudging
right into the next unknown car.
A NEW MOVE SET
--------------
From this point forward, we're shifting to five fresh actions for each day's
survival:
* Fight -- Direct confrontation, weapons out, no mercy.
* Sneak -- Stick to shadows and silence, slipping by threats unseen.
* Run -- Sometimes the best option is to bolt before it's too late.
* Fix -- Repair or rig systems to your advantage.
* Help -- Rally, heal, or assist other survivors.
THE SCENE
---------
After prying open the battered hatch beyond Car 14, we find an unexpected
oasis--or so it first appears. Car 15, assuming the numbering holds, is a
sprawling greenhouse compartment with tall glass panels overhead. Dim
emergency lights cast a sickly glow on rows of mutated plants. Thick vines
droop from the rafters, and spiky buds might be carnivorous. Who knows what
EmergenTek has been cooking up here.
A strange humidity hits us in the face, warm and stifling. The air smells of
wet moss and rotted foliage. A faint rustling comes from deeper in the
vegetation, but whether it is wind or some new specimen is anyone's guess.
Car layout:
* Rows of planters, many overturned, with vines across the floor.
* A cracked glass wall lets in occasional bursts of outside air.
* Irrigation sprayers drip a greenish liquid--possibly fertilizer,
possibly something more sinister.
* Flickering lights and a half-functional climate console wait at the far
end.
R.C., worn but upright, is still bandaged from the regenerating monster. He
scans the vines with suspicion. Penny, determined but exhausted, watches the
more vulnerable survivors. Everyone wonders whether this place is safer or
ten times worse.
YOUR FIVE CHOICES
-----------------
Fight -- Slash or burn vines before they can strangle us.
Sneak -- Tread carefully between the planters in case something hungry is
lurking among the leaves.
Run -- Sprint to the far side, hoping speed beats whatever is waiting.
Fix -- Override the climate controls, irrigation, or lighting. Perhaps you
can stop the mutation or use the machinery to your advantage.
Help -- Calm and guide the wounded, frightened, and exhausted survivors.
CLIFFHANGER: WHAT LURKS AMONG THE LEAVES?
-----------------------------------------
A strange hush falls over the greenhouse, broken only by the drip-drip of
suspicious fluid. Vines creep underfoot. Tomorrow we'll see whether we can
cross this botanically twisted labyrinth or become fertilizer for
EmergenTek's next experiment.
Stay vigilant, survivors. Each new car is another chance to lose everything--
or find the key to true survival.
