PROJECT MANIFESTO
WATCH THE COMPUTER THINK

This became the central design instruction for the C128 project.

The screen should not merely be animated.
The screen should LOOK LIKE A PROCESS IS HAPPENING.

Bad:
- clear screen
- draw random circle
- print random number
- clear screen

Better:
- establish coordinate system
- draw the object under analysis
- add a reference vector
- begin updating telemetry
- plot successive solution points
- highlight a result
- hold it long enough to read
- transition into the next system

A person should be able to stand in front of the C128 for twenty seconds and keep
noticing new relationships.

The display does not need to solve a real orbital mission. It needs internal visual
logic strong enough that the viewer believes the computer is busy with something
larger than a graphics demonstration.

That is the difference between "BASIC drew a circle" and "this old computer is
apparently running a spacecraft."
