I love watching Beastie Boys reaction videos. It's fun to hear urban youth approve of the 35yo white rap I liked as a kid. It is a far different art form today because of technology. They were a rap group that had to pull together people that knew how to play instruments, or at least be great tape cutters and audio loopers. Just saying, Outside the 3 main guys (ad rock, mca, mike d) and Mix Master Mic. The Beastie Boys pulled together artists all the time. Now days rappers just fart out another beat with Garage Band and call it a day as far as the instruments go. So hearing there old stuff again and seeing it appreciated is cool. Even if I have nothing to do with it other than having Brass Monkey memorized most of my life now.
