STORY NOTES

Premise
-------
Ace Nitetime and Jack Static discover that the NITETIME.NET archive is a
place they can physically walk through. Directories are architecture and
files are tangible objects. Their exploration leads to their own series
directory and to the comic page that records the exploration itself.

Continuity
----------
This is the first archived ACE NITETIME & JACK STATIC issue. It establishes
Ace as the curious investigator who moves toward unusual technology and Jack
as the practical observer who explains impossibility with computer-room and
garage logic. Both are comfortable enough around strange equipment to remain
curious rather than frightened.

The issue establishes their visual appearance for future archive releases:
Ace has dark hair, a rust-red shirt, dark vest, jeans, and radio headphones.
Jack has sandy hair, a short mustache, square glasses, an olive work jacket,
cream shirt, jeans, and a tool belt.

Important visual details
------------------------
The archive is built from beige computer hardware, green CRT displays,
filing cabinets, magnetic tape, floppy disks, cables, and warm industrial
lighting. It is intentionally old Internet infrastructure made architectural,
not a generic neon cyberspace.

The final empty chairs carry Ace's headphones and Jack's tool belt while the
men appear on a CRT. A hand presses ENTER. These details deepen the recursion
without selecting a single explanation.

Easter eggs
-----------
Look for Wisconsin markings, RADIO 608, a Commodore 64 disk, the UFO? box,
the dangerous TEMP drawer, and paths toward /MUSIC/, /COMMODORE/, /RADIO/,
and /RECOVERED/.

Possible future hooks
---------------------
The archive can contain other recovered broadcasts, software, artwork, and
documents. Its directories may connect locations that are unrelated in the
ordinary world. The identity of the hand at the keyboard—and whether it is
inside or outside the same recursion—remains open.
