EVERYWHERE AT ONCE

PANEL 1
Visual:
With a bright POP, Ace and Jack appear in a vast nighttime landscape made
from server-rack hills, cables, telephone poles, glowing burrow portals, and
green menu trails. A large sign reads NITETIME.NET GOPHERSPACE.
Dialogue:
ACE: We moved.
JACK: The menu moved us.
Sound effect:
POP

PANEL 2
Visual:
A beige terminal beside the trail displays a /COMICS/ menu. Its fifth item
is ACE-AND-JACK.
Dialogue:
ACE: There we are!
JACK: Indexed while we weren't looking.

PANEL 3
Visual:
The menu opens a round portal labeled /COMICS/ACE-AND-JACK/. Inside are
small views of ISSUE-001, ISSUE-002, and ISSUE-003.
Dialogue:
ACE: Gopher has the comics.
JACK: Gopher has directions to them.

PANEL 4
Visual:
Jack operates a large brass selector labeled GOPHER and FILES. The round
portal beside it contains familiar beige filing drawers.
Dialogue:
ACE: Same stuff.
JACK: Different front door.

PANEL 5
Visual:
Ace and Jack return to the old Files corridor. The TEMP drawer, RADIO 608
reel, Commodore 64 disk, and /COMICS/ cabinet are visible. The glowing
Gopherspace trail remains open behind them.
Dialogue:
ACE: We're back where we started.
JACK: We never left the data.

PANEL 6
Visual:
A central cylinder labeled NITETIME.NET ARCHIVE connects by heavy cables to
FILES, GOPHER, and RADIO. A sign above it reads ONE DATA. ONE ARCHIVE.
Dialogue:
ACE: Everything's connected.
JACK: Everything's shared.

PANEL 7
Visual:
Two circular doors labeled FILES face one another through impossible
geometry. Ace looks through one doorway and sees himself through the other
while Jack studies the connecting machinery.
Dialogue:
ACE: That's trippy, man.
JACK: It's a shortcut with opinions.

PANEL 8
Visual:
Ace and Jack stand at a nighttime crossroads. Signs point toward FILES,
GOPHER, RADIO, and YOU ARE HERE. File drawers, a /COMICS/ Gopher menu, and a
RADIO 608 display all contain ACE-AND-JACK material. Every green path curves
toward the same NITETIME.NET structure. A carved gopher sits on the signpost,
and Jack holds a circular map.
Dialogue:
ACE: So where are we now?
JACK: Yes.
