STORY NOTES
===========
Premise
-------
One Ace-and-Jack idea travels through the complete NITETIME.NET comic
publishing workflow: Codex creates a full archive release, Syncthing publishes
it to Files, and a separate automatic publisher builds Gopher's reading-room
version from the public manifest.
Continuity
----------
This follows the successful pre-flight test in ISSUE-005. The garage is now
mission control for a repeatable production system rather than a one-time
experiment. Ace remains the curious audience surrogate; Jack explains the
workflow in practical terms.
DJRC is represented only by hands and the familiar WEBMASTER director's chair.
No unsupported face or character design is established.
Important workflow details
--------------------------
The release is complete locally before synchronization. Files receives the
complete ordinary-file package. Gopher is built separately after its publisher
reads MANIFEST.json and confirms STATUS: PUBLIC. Gopher adds its own index,
transcript view, and link back to Files without replacing the Files release.
Easter eggs
-----------
The carved gopher prop appears at nearly every stage, eventually operating the
OPEN sign. The .net mug remains beside Codex. The final input tray already
holds room for the next idea.
Possible future hooks
---------------------
The workflow can accept more ideas and more kinds of Nitetime releases. Other
front doors might eventually be built from the same complete archive package,
provided their publishers honor the manifest and retain paths back to Files.
