A seven-panel landscape Sunday comic with six garage panels above one enormous
exterior panel. The art uses heavy black ink, warm amber and rust interiors,
and a deep blue Wisconsin night. Ace is lean and dark-haired in a red work
shirt, dark vest, jeans, and silver headphones. Jack is stockier, with sandy
hair, mustache, square glasses, olive work jacket, and a tool belt.

Ace removes a dusty cover from a massive old black machine. It is surrounded
by cables and glass vacuum tubes, but its central feature is a glossy red
button beneath a very clear metal sign: DO NOT PRESS. Ace asks what it does.
Jack says he does not know and has wondered about it for twelve years.

The comedy slows for a silent symmetrical panel in which both men stare across
the centered button while a clock ticks. In the next panel they make the same
decision at exactly the same time, pressing it together with two outstretched
index fingers. The control responds with a heavy K-THUNK.

The final panel fills nearly half the page with a panoramic view of Lake
Koshkonong, farms, trees, a silo, country roads, and a radio tower under a
starry sky. The garage is tiny within the landscape. A spectacular red-gold
beam explodes straight upward from its roof, illuminates the clouds and water,
and continues into space without visible damage. From inside, Ace asks what
they did. Jack observes that at least they now know what the button does.
