========================

An eight-panel landscape Sunday comic painted in amber, brown, rust, olive,
deep blue, and muted green. Ace remains lean and dark-haired in a red work
shirt, dark vest, jeans, and headphones. Jack remains stockier, with sandy
hair, mustache, square glasses, olive jacket, and tool belt. Their small adult
alien companion matches the previous issue: sage-green skin, large dark eyes,
silver-gray travel suit, boots, and satchel.

They enter a fictional Lakeside Clubhouse with knotty-pine walls, a fireplace,
trophy fish, warm hanging lights, and several vintage mechanical slot machines.
The alien stops at one machine and projects subtle circular ripples toward its
mechanism, saying it hums incorrectly. Ace wonders whether the visitor can read
probability fields. Jack offers exactly one token.

The alien inserts the token and pulls the lever. Three reels stop on matching
flying-saucer symbols. A JACKPOT light flashes, and an absurd quantity of gold
coins floods onto the carpet. Ace celebrates, Jack brings a basket and snow
shovel, and the alien remains calmly pleased. When Ace asks whether telepathy
or precognition caused the win, the alien says it asked the machine nicely.

The wide final panel returns outdoors to Lake Koshkonong beneath a starry sky.
Ace pulls and Jack pushes a small utility trailer overflowing with coins,
baskets, and a shovel. The alien rides serenely on top with a soda. Coins trail
behind, one trailer tire is nearly flat, and Jack concludes that they need
bigger tires.
