In High School it took me weeks to convince my parents to spend nearly $160 on 4 Megabytes of RAM for our Leading Edge brand 486SX computer. Tomorrow I am having 12 Gigabytes of RAM delivered for my 8 core XEON Workstation Class PC, for only $99. We talk about money inflation, lets talk about cost deflation due to technology. Sure in 1992 it was impossible, but if it was possible it would have cost around a $500,000. That is pretty amazing. But then again, try and run ANYTHING on 4 megs of RAM. I am pretty sure no modern electronic devices with Dynamic RAM only has 4 Megs to work with.
