DO NOT GO LOOK AT THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AT NIGHT!
I only hung out in LaCrosse a couple of times in my life, but there was 1 rule I took to heart and never even thought twice about breaking. You don't go look at the river at night!
I have lived near Lake Superior and hanging out near it at night was fine, I live on lake kosh and I have gone swimming at night more then in the day light, it is fine... something about that damn river in that town, if ever there was possibly a curse of evil spirit at play. It is horrific how often this happens.
