NITETIME MUD // PHOTO HISTORY AND THE LAB
=========================================

YOUR PRIVATE CONTACT SHEET - VERIFIED / DEPLOYED

  photos newest 50 photographs owned by this Character
  photo <id> inspect one photograph you own

PHOTO reports the subject, capture time, development state, incidental
visible people and any returned image or lab-error information. A focal
portrait subject appears as the Subject; the separate Visible people
line currently covers incidental Characters.

Every capture begins PRIVATE. The game has no deployed player command
to share a photograph, make it public, publish it to Files, or place it
on Gopher. Capture consent protects a deliberate portrait, but it
should not be mistaken for a complete publication-consent system.

THE IMMUTABLE NEGATIVE - VERIFIED / DEPLOYED

SNAP stores a detached, structured scene snapshot and a verification
fingerprint. Later changes to a room, name, outfit, held object or
appearance profile cannot rewrite the photographed moment. The live
MUD is authority for what is true now; the snapshot is authority for
what was true when the shutter fired.

The game also creates a private lab job and safely places a structured
job envelope in its camera outbox. The lab receives the snapshot, not
access to the MUD's private database.

THE DARKROOM - ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT

Image development is currently a manual, external operation. A human
operator moves the queued job through the off-MUD photo lab and can
return success or failure information. Because there is no deployed
automatic worker, a queued photograph may not become an image quickly.

The live system can preserve jobs and apply checked lab results. That
foundation does not mean transport, rendering, storage publication or
Gopher publication is automated.

NOT DEPLOYED / PLANNED

These are not current player features:

  * automatic image development
  * player photo sharing or public galleries
  * automatic Files or Gopher publication
  * player-facing completion receipts
  * automatic creation or selection of renderer reference images

Exit photography itself IS deployed; only its automatic development
and publication must not be inferred.
