RACCOONS, FILM REELS, AND OUTSIDER CINEMA
=========================================

The raccoons begin as a perfect late-night joke: little hands, dark
masks, garbage expertise, and absolutely no respect for a locked door.
The music gives them a serious job. They recover, project, guard, and
occasionally fight over media that larger institutions discarded.

Raccoon Rampage at Nitetime is the basement-party version. The animals
take the controls, open crates, unspool reels, and argue over the next
movie. The Raccoon Summoning adds a melancholy correction: the crew
believes it is calling the shots until puppet strings become visible
above its own paws.

Nitetime Raccoon Run is the clearest mission statement. Dusty cans and
16mm dreams become named recoveries, including Final Curtain,
Necromania, and Young Marrieds. The line about every lost frame being a
debt turns scavenging into preservation ethics without spoiling the fun
of the chant.

Ed Wood - The Hardest Working Man in Hollywood and Angora Confessional
explain why outsider cinema belongs here. The first honors unstoppable
making without permission. The second treats Glen or Glenda as identity
testimony surviving inside low-budget confusion. Grave Robber and Plan 9
Is Live! return to cardboard graves, damaged broadcasts, Vampira,
Criswell, and Tor Johnson with affection rather than detached camp.

War at Nitetime raises the stakes until the reels are sacred objects in
a collapsing server world. The raccoons remain funny, but they are also
the workers closest to the archive when the lights fail.
