dressing. Coolers sweat. Screen doors slam. Dock boards creak. Grill
smoke hangs over folding chairs. Lake Koshkonong reflects whatever the
sky is doing, including the things the sky should not be doing.

The April Highwood suite is the friendly entrance. Highwood sun,
Highwood breeze and Dock Lights in Highwood move at the speed of a long
summer evening. Golden Hour at Highwood and its Glide variant watch the
light turn the lake into a dance floor. Koshkonong Kick-back, Barefoot
Bounce, Hustle on the Sand, and Moonlight Step bring in cha-cha rhythm,
congas, brass, woodblocks, and the recurring rubbery wub beneath it all.

The Girl from Lake Koshkonong moves indoors to a bossa-nova lounge. The
woman at its center arrives, stops the room, and vanishes before anyone
can settle the question. The lake-noir sequence darkens the same region
with cars, bells, launches, back rooms, and broadcast sign-offs.

Sideways Universe is where local weather becomes a machine. The mud is a
lower capacitor plate, the cloud deck an upper one, and the lake holds
the charge while scout craft and a dark carrier rotate the grid. Needle
of Rain reduces that idea to a useful warning: soft weather can still be
precise machinery.
