NEEDLE OF RAIN / INBOUND LIGHT OBSERVATION
===========================================

DATE: September 1, 2026
LOCATION: Lake Koshkonong / Highwood area
OBSERVER: NITETIME.NET operator
TYPE: Visual + acoustic observation
STATUS: Firsthand observation; unresolved

SUMMARY
=======

During a September 1, 2026 event in which the Needle of Rain was
present over the lake and its associated rain/cloud phenomenon was
occurring, I was driving eastbound and saw a very bright white point
of light move rapidly into view and continue toward the cloud wall
surrounding the event. I watched the light enter or disappear into
that cloud boundary. Approximately two minutes later, while I was
pulling into the Highwood neighborhood, the Needle of Rain underwent
the folding procedure described in earlier Nitetime terminology. I
clearly heard the sound I associate with the space jump from inside
my van.

The important new feature is the order of the observations: the Needle
of Rain present over the lake, its associated rain/cloud phenomenon
underway, a fast bright white light approaching and entering the
associated cloud boundary, approximately two minutes, and then the
familiar folding event with its associated sound audible inside the
vehicle.

DIRECTLY OBSERVED
=================

The following is limited to what I saw and heard:

  * The Needle of Rain was present over the lake, with its associated
    localized rain/cloud phenomenon underway.
  * I was driving eastbound during the initial visual observation.
  * I saw a very bright white point of light move rapidly into view.
  * The point of light continued toward the cloud wall associated with
    the Needle of Rain.
  * I watched it enter or disappear into the cloud boundary.
  * Approximately two minutes later, I was pulling into the Highwood
    neighborhood.
  * The Needle of Rain then performed the folding procedure.
  * During that event I clearly heard the sound I associate with the
    space jump.
  * The sound was audible inside my van.

No exact time, distance, altitude, speed, size, duration, weather
condition, cloud height, additional witness, radar record, or
photograph is entered here because none is part of this report.

CHRONOLOGY
==========

1. The Needle of Rain was present over Lake Koshkonong, with the
   associated localized rain/cloud phenomenon underway.

2. While driving eastbound, I saw a very bright white point of light
race into view. It was moving extremely quickly.

3. The light traveled toward the cloud wall surrounding the Needle of
Rain and entered or disappeared into that boundary.

4. Approximately two minutes later, I was pulling into the Highwood
   neighborhood.

5. The Needle of Rain performed the folding procedure.

6. At that time, I clearly heard the sound I associate with the space
   jump from inside my van.

FULL OBSERVER ACCOUNT
=====================

The Needle of Rain was already present over the lake while I was
driving eastbound. The characteristic localized rain/cloud phenomenon
associated with it was underway. I have seen this type of lake-area
event before and use the name Needle of Rain for the large craft
associated with it. The visible event included the surrounding cloud
boundary I call the cloud wall.

While I was driving, a very bright white point of light moved rapidly
into view. I did not see it as a stationary light that later changed
position. I saw the bright point moving extremely quickly as it came
into view and continued toward the cloud wall. I watched it enter or
disappear into the cloud boundary.

This was the part of the event I had not previously been able to see
so clearly. The appearance was consistent, in my working
classification, with the bright white moving lights I have associated
with smaller craft in other Nitetime material. I therefore interpreted
what I saw as one of the smaller scout ships returning to, approaching,
or entering the Needle of Rain. I did not see docking. That
classification is my interpretation of the observation, not an
independently established identification of the light.

Approximately two minutes later, I was pulling into the Highwood
neighborhood. The Needle of Rain then carried out the behavior I have
previously called the folding procedure. During this event I clearly
heard the sound I associate with the space jump. It was audible inside
my van. I was not outside listening for a faint sound; I heard it from
inside the vehicle while pulling into the neighborhood.

The report is therefore not based on a single impression detached from
the rest of the event. It is a sequence observed in order: the Needle
of Rain was present and active; its associated rain/cloud phenomenon
and cloud wall were visible; a bright white fast-moving light entered
the cloud wall; approximately two minutes passed; the Needle of Rain
folded; and the associated sound was heard inside the van.

INTERPRETATION / WORKING MODEL
==============================

The following statements describe the NITETIME working model. They
are not presented as scientifically established facts:

  * The large object is classified as the Needle of Rain. I
hypothesize that it may function as a carrier or mothership.
  * The Needle's name is associated with the thin, dense rain feature
described in the archive. That feature can look artificial and can
conceal what is behind it; it is not the craft itself. The existing
Needle file also records the possibility that the rain is showing
the shape of something normally invisible, or that the event is a
local expression of a fold in space.
  * I use cloud wall for the surrounding cloud boundary that appears to
conceal or surround the Needle of Rain activity.
  * I use scout ship for one of the smaller objects or lights
apparently associated with the Needle of Rain. The September 1
light was not measured or physically identified.
  * I use folding procedure for the characteristic collapse,
disappearance, or closing behavior at the end of some events.
  * I use space jump for the distinctive sound I associate with that
    transition.

On September 1, my interpretation was that I witnessed a scout ship
returning to, approaching, or entering the Needle of Rain shortly
before the large craft folded approximately two minutes later. I did
not see docking. The observational record establishes the order in
which I saw and heard the things listed above. It does not establish
what the light or the Needle physically were.

PATTERN NOTES
=============

The September 1 observation adds a visual arrival to a sequence that
older archive files describe only in separate or interpretive pieces.

The existing NEEDLE OF RAIN note describes the large craft and the
thin, dense, persistent rain feature associated with it. It records a
rising tone as that associated phenomenon forms. It does not describe
a scout ship arriving immediately before a folding event.

The INSIDE THE DARK CARRIER note says, in Sideways Universe material,
that scout craft appear first and the carrier follows. That is a
continuity classification, not a prior firsthand field report of this
event.

A September 13, 2025 Wisconsin audio note records a different but
related interpretation: smaller craft come in first, followed by a
winding buildup and a heavy boom, with another transport being loaded
a couple minutes later. That file is useful as an acoustic comparison,
but it does not document the September 1 visual light entering a cloud
wall or a Needle of Rain folding.

Within the UFO and lake files reviewed for this report, September 1,
2026 is the first indexed firsthand entry that combines the Needle of
Rain being present, an apparent incoming bright white point of light
entering its associated cloud wall, the later folding sequence, and
the associated sound heard inside the van. This
is a statement about the present archive, not a claim that no earlier
similar observation exists outside it.

The recurring geographic relationship is supported at the level of
archive organization: the Needle of Rain, Object 04, scout-craft, and
related observation material are all placed around Lake Koshkonong.
The September 1 report places the initial visual observation in the
Lake Koshkonong / Highwood area and the later portion in the Highwood
neighborhood. It does not establish a more precise position.

TERMINOLOGY / RELATED FILES
===========================

NEEDLE OF RAIN
The name given to the large craft. The name is associated with the
unusual localized rain/cloud phenomenon that can look artificial,
conceal what is behind it, and persist while surrounding rain changes
direction. The rain phenomenon is not itself the Needle of Rain. See:
  /ufo/needle-of-rain.txt

CLOUD WALL
My term in this report for the surrounding cloud boundary associated
with the Needle of Rain. The September 1 observation documents the
light entering or disappearing into it; its physical nature is
  unknown.

SCOUT SHIP
The name given to the smaller objects or lights apparently associated
with the Needle of Rain. See the archive's classification note:
  /ufo/scout-craft-04.txt

MOTHERSHIP / CARRIER
A hypothesis about the function of the Needle of Rain. The Needle
may carry or deploy smaller scout ships; this is not established.

FOLDING PROCEDURE
The term used for the characteristic behavior observed when the
Needle of Rain appears to close, collapse, disappear, depart, or
otherwise transition out of its visible state. The archive also
preserves related language about objects appearing and disappearing
  without a reliably observed transition:
  /ufo/OBJECT-04.txt

SPACE JUMP
My term for the distinctive sound associated with that transition.
On September 1, the sound was clearly audible inside my van.

LIMITS OF THE RECORD
====================

This is a primary-source observation written for the NITETIME.NET
archive. It records what I saw and heard, followed separately by the
interpretation I apply using existing Nitetime terminology.

There is no exact time in this entry. The only interval recorded is
approximately two minutes between the light entering or disappearing
into the cloud boundary and the later folding event. There is no
measurement of distance, altitude, speed, size, duration, cloud
height, or sound level. No radar, photograph, meteorological record,
or additional witness is entered. The event remains unresolved.
